Tlaxcala Neighborhood

Founded in 1528 with the arrival of the Spaniards. Its name refers to the fact that this place was inhabited by Tlaxcaltecas who arrived with the Spaniards. At the beginning the Tlaxcala and Mexicanos neighborhoods were one and the same, until 1979 when the inhabitants of the Tlaxcala neighborhood decided to have their own church and patron saint's day where they now celebrate the Virgin of Ocotlán. 

Among the best known trades in this area are the elaboration of adobe, tiles and wax. In addition to the production of typical sweets and also known for their work as merchants.
